Scott B. Ayers was born and raised in the state of Washington. After graduating from Mead Sr. High School in Spokane, Washington, Mr. Ayers continued his education at the esteemed Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA. While at Washington & Lee, Mr. Ayers studied several subjects and graduated cum laude with a double major Bachelor of Arts in economics and history. He chose to immediately move on to law school, and elected to attend Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, CA.
Since he was admitted to the California Bar in the Spring of 2001, attorney Scott B. Ayers has engaged in a variety of legal pursuits.
Mr. Ayers has accomplished an undefeated streak in special education law which he has practiced for over 14 years. He is an impassioned advocate for the rights of special education students, and his passion has manifested in a record of aggressive negotiation and litigation on behalf of students who are denied their statutorily guaranteed educational rights.
His experience has been further expanded in his time as an estate planner for individuals and families. These services include creating trusts, special needs trusts, wills, durable powers of attorney and medical directives (medical powers of attorney).
Mr. Ayers has extensive experience in the formation and maintenance of businesses, including corporation, stock transfer, and business reformation and dissolution. This business experience includes both limited liability corporations and regular, domestic corporations (as well as non-profit entities).
He has spent several years as a general civil law attorney, emphasizing contracts of various natures, in both the transactional and litigation worlds. Mr. Ayers has both constructed and analyzed contracts for record labels and musicians/bands, as well as feature and documentary films. The contract types include, but are not limited to, recording and distribution contracts, talent and crew contracts and talent releases, as well as production and writing agreements.
